Home to the elephants of Chobe, the magnificent Okavango Delta and the haunting Kalahari

Botswana is one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. With huge tracts of land set aside for conservation, the country provides excellent unspoilt game viewing along with a unique safari experience in the Okavango Delta

With nearly 40 percent of the country set aside for wildlife, Botswana encompasses some of the last great safari destinations in Africa. Vast open plains provide unforgettable vistas over a land unchanged for generations, these plains provide habitat for astoundingly varieties of wildlife including endangered species, such as Wild Dog, Cheetah, Brown Hyena, Cape Vulture, Wattled Crane, Kori Bustard, and Pel’s Fishing Owl.

Botswana is also home to the Okavango Delta; a great expanse of pools and channels providing sustenance in the sands of the Kalahari Desert. In the centre of the country the world’s second largest game reserve, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, protects summer grazing for vast herds of plains game. The Makgadikgadi Pans, the size of Portugal and uninhabited allow visitors to get away from the pressures of the world.

In the north the Chobe National Park protects Africa’s great elephant herds, drawing life from the Chobe River. The river’s life giving waters also provide for huge herds of buffalo and other plains game along with prides of lion and other predators.
