The iconic port city of the Western Cape, gateway to the winelands and garden route
Cape Town is the most popular international tourist destination Africa with an excellent climate, beautiful natural setting, and well-developed infrastructure and provides an excellent addition to any safari tour.
Created in part by its majestic natural surroundings with Table Mountain at its very centre, the top of which can be reached either by hiking up, or by taking the Table Mountain Cableway, Cape Town provides dramatic vistas with the headland at the end of the Cape Peninsula, Cape Point, providing incredible views over the ocean along with Chapman’s Peak Drive, a narrow road that links Noordhoek with Hout Bay, providing wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and nearby mountains.
No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a visit to the many beaches, which are popular with both tourists and local residents, each with a different setting and atmosphere. Magnificent Clifton Beach is one of Cape Town’s most famous beaches and a significant tourist destination in its own right.
The winelands of the hinterland provide an excellent destination with fine wines coupled with an incredible fusion of western and eastern recipes.
